“Don’t use autonomy legislation for Tobago to try and gain political points.”
This comment is directed to the government and comes from Opposition Member of Parliament for Couva South, Rudy Indarsingh.
The Opposition MP made the point while contributing to debate on the private motion Adopt the report of the JSC on the Constitution Amendment Tobago –Government Bill, 2020 on Monday June 28.
Speaking in the House of Representatives this afternoon, MP Indarsingh said the sister isle must be given legislation which will help advance its progress in a fair way.
MP Indarsingh also raised issue with the holding of virtual consultations during the COVID-19 pandemic period.
