Halle fooled some of her colleagues and fans after suggesting she was a married woman.
On New Years Day, Halle posted a picture on Instagram of her kissing her longtime boyfriend, Van Hunt.
The two shared a kiss in what seems to be an alter in Bora Bora.
The caption of the photo said, “Well… IT’S OFFICIAL.”
Celebs and fans started flooding her comment section congratulating the couple. “Blessings, Queen! Wonderfulllll,” Ava DuVernay commented.
“Congrats you two!!! Beautiful!!” Dwayne Johnson said along with a few hand-clapping emojis.
Halle didn’t run with the joke for too long. On Sunday, she cleared the air and admitted the post was just a joke.
“We were just having some New Year’s Day fun! People clearly don’t swipe as much as we thought they did Thank you for the well wishes, tho’, it really touched our hearts!
