The distraught Grandmother of 9-year-old Jamal Modeste who was killed around 8.20 pm on October 15 is questioning why such a gruesome act was carried out on her grandson.
According to reports several shots were fired from a white panel van in the vicinity of the basketball court at the African Grounds, Enterprise.
The 9-year-old child was struck by the gunfire and was taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility by relatives to seek medical attention.
However, the child succumbed to his injuries.
Speaking to the media yesterday, she said her grandson had nothing to do with her son’s incarceration.
