Hazardous seas alert discontinued as conditions improve

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has discontinued its hazardous seas alert, as conditions have improved in the country’s nearshore coastal zones.

However, the Met Office notes that the waters remain choppy at times with occasional more giant waves in excess of 2.5 m.

As such, the public and marine interests are asked to be cautious.

Sea bathers, fishermen, small craft operators, and other coastal interests should continue to exercise caution along the coast. and follow the instructions of lifeguards.
