A 31-year-old Fyzabad labourer is dead after he was ambushed near his home on Wednesday night.
Wendy Cross, the common-law wife of Emmanuel Mc Meo, reportedly told police that they were walking along a track near their home around 10:30 pm, when they were approached from behind by gunmen.
Mc Meo started to run but the men opened fire while in pursuit. Mc Meo was hit multiple times and died at the scene.
Police found three black shotgun cartridges at the scene of the crime.
