Former Head Of The Public Service Described As A Steady Advocate

A steady advocate for Tobago is how Tobago House of Assembly Chief Secretary, Farley Augustine, describes former head of the public service and diplomat, Reginald Dumas, who passed away on Thursday.

He died at the Scarborough General Hospital.

Dumas was 88 years old.

He said, “Mr. Dumas has left an indelible mark and rich legacy.

His wisdom and discernment, and the impact he has had in the sphere of public service have been a building block to the progress of our island’s development.

He will be missed.”

Mr. Dumas was also a member of the Tobago Council of Elders.

Chief Secretary Augustine said his legacy and influence will remain a source of encouragement.
