Former Finance Minister Expresses Concern Over Mounting Food Import Bill

Addressing the ease of doing business, a rising food import bill, completing projects identified, and passing of outstanding legislation; these are cited as areas which government should urgently tackle.

Former Minister of Finance, Karen Nunez Tesheria, made the comment while speaking during the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102 Digital today.

Mrs Nunez Tesheria expressed concern with the mounting food import bill and the implications of such for Trinidad and Tobago.

This trend, she said, can have serious consequences moving forward.

Making business transactions easier was another area highlighted, as there are benefits for citizens and the nation should this aspect of national life be improved.
