Several families are today in mourning over the loss of three persons who were involved in a car accident on the Uriah Butler Highway.
According to reports the fatal accident took place within the vicinity of the Divali Nagar, after a silver Tida PCN 4960, driven by Michael Ashton was proceeding North along the Uriah Butler Highway in the vicinity Massy Tracmac.
The report also states that Ashton list lost control of the vehicle and ran into the back of a Dump truck which was proceeding in the same direction.
All three persons died on impact at the scene.
16265 PC Isahak attached to the St Clair Police was driving the Dump Truck and was reported to be unharmed.
Cpl Mohammed of the Chaguanas police is continuing investigations.
