National Soca Warriors Head Coach Angus Eve says the National team is in a process and they have been rebuilding the team since 2021.

The Soca Warriors were eliminated 2-0 by Canada.

The Trinidad and Tobago Men’s National Senior Team’s bid for an unprecedented place in the Copa America tournament stalled recently at the Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, as the Soca Warriors lost 2-0 to Canada in a playoff.

Eve said that there is younger talent in the team at present.

He noted the biggest challenge that he’s facing now with the young team is support.

Eve said some of the guys live in depressed areas and the biggest challenge is to get them to believe in themselves.

The Soca Warriors coach disclosed that they’ve looked at hiring a psychologist to work with them after the game.

He said that he does not think that persons understand what it takes to play international teams.

He cited some of the difficulties the national football team faced ahead of their preparation for various tournaments.

He said the need for continuous support from the public is critical which goes a long way in providing motivation for players and teams.
