The Hunters Search and Rescue Team led by Captain Vallence Rambharat located the body of Merissa Edwards.
According to a post by the Hunters rescue team Edwards body was found at 5.45pm in a drain in Couva.
Edwards, 39, worked as an administrative clerk at the Faculty of Medical Science at UWI St Augustine
Police reports indicated that she left her Chase Village, Chaguanas home with Simeon Roopchand, 51, on September 18 but never returned.
Police then found Simeon Roopchand, hanging from a tree in Tabaquite by members of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team on Saturday.
It is believed that Roopchand ended his own life.
