Forty–one workers of the Education Facilities Company Limited have had their contracts of employment terminated.
This is pursuant to the terms and conditions of the contracts of their employment.
Confirmation of this comes from Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert.
The response was given during the question and answer period in the House of Representatives Friday afternoon.
Minister Imbert answering a supplemental question from the Member of Parliament for Couva South, Rudy Indarsingh, Minister Imbert insisted the move was not a retrenchment of the workers.
