Construction and tourism workers in Tobago to be vaccinated on Saturday

The Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) has announced that a vaccination drive for workers in the construction and tourism sector, will kick off on Saturday, June 12th.

According to a release, special arrangements are being made for those who work in those sectors to receive their vaccines at designated locations and time.

Workers will be informed of where and when and are being asked not to randomly show up at Health Centres for a vaccines.

The TRHA said Health Centres are currently administering vaccines by appointment only, and are focusing on second Astrazeneca doses as well as first Sinopharm doses for priority groups such as the elderly, those with NCDs, health care workers, those in the protective services, and other essential workers.

The Construction and Tourism industry coordinators have been asked to collate the information for the sectors, regarding the number of people who are willing to take the vaccine, so that they can be coordinated and invited to their specific location and allotted days.
