TTMA to make a request for more vaccines

Following the overwhelming response by the membership of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) to get vaccinated in the first private-public vaccination drive, the TTMA is now seeking to ramp up the process by requesting more doses.

The TTMA was able to inoculate close to 2,700 employees of the sector in one day last Sunday, at the Divali Nagar Site, in Chaguanas.

Now, the association’s president Tricia Coosal, hoping for more.

Speaking on The Morning Brew on Tuesday, she said “We will ask the Government if we can get more vaccines so we can inoculate more people in the manufacturing industry so our aim is to get as many people who want the vaccine coming to the TTMA and being able to get their vaccines. It is important to have these vaccines and we will be asking for more.”

Coosal said they have two more drives planned for this week to administer the remaining vaccines, but added “We would like to open it up a bit more via the other manufacturers as long as we are given more vaccines by the Government.”
