Cher mourns the loss of her mother just as she got her groove back with young love!

Just as Cher got her groove back in the love department, she now mourns the loss of her mother.

Georgia Holt, 96, passed away on Sunday December 11th around 1:02am.

The Believe singer, 76, announced the news with a post on Twitter – “Mom is gone”.

Holt’s death comes after months of health issues, including being hospitalised with pneumonia in September.

Cher had been caring for her throughout this period, posting updates on the social media site that said Holt was “getting better”.

Holt is survived by daughter Cher, grandsons Chaz Bono and Elijah Blue Allman, and partner of 46 years, Craig Spencer.

Cher currently is dating 25 year old Alexander Edward, who is the father of Instagram model Amber Rose second son.
