OnlyFans isn’t only for porn stars.
Dozens of celebrities and citizens from Trinidad and Tobago have hopped on the bandwagon of joining the mostly-racy adult content platform.
Some argue that while having an 8-4 job may be decent, it does not pay the bills.
IzzSo Media spoke with one Trinidadian who said he joined the app to make some extra coins on the side.
When he created the OnlyFans account he received quite a number of subscribers, however he began to get more male subscribers than female.
Wyen asked about the subscription fee he said “my subscription was $7.99USD a month – 50TTD and its free for interested account holders to join.
He said he would post nude shots, shower scenes, and even nude shots of himself being in nature.
When asked if he still has the account, the man said he did not keep up with posting regular and lost a few subscribers – this as persons pay a monthly fee to view nude images and or video.
He did say that the subscribers he received were those within the creative industry, men, and very few women.
I asked another T&T national if he would join the app to view both local and or foreign stars, he said that he viewed the app as a gateway for persons to have full access to sex workers and for persons interested in becoming involved in the sex/porn industry.
While T&T may not be a large market for OnlyFans on the forefront, the app has gained a huge following from international celebrities.
From the likes of rapper Tyga, actress Denise Richards and her daughter, IG model Amber Rose, model Kate Moss younger sister, Shannon Moakler, Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife, Larsa Pippen, rapper Cardi B, Trans-model, Shea Coulee from ‘Rue Paul’s Drag Race All Stars, Blac Chyna and Jordyn Woods, just to name a few.
And while making money may be beneficial, OnlyFans account holders stand the risk of having their images leaked on Twitter – this has happened to O’Ryan (Omarion’ younger brother) Solja Boy, Drummer Tommy Lee and others.
