A High Street vendor is warded at the hospital after another vendor threw acid on her face.
According to reports the a 57-year-old street vendor from Vistabella was arrested yesterday after allegedly throwing a noxious substance at a fellow street vendor.
According to reports, around 11:40 am on December 10th, 2022, a street vendor was selling goods on High Street, San Fernando when she observed a woman, with whom she had recently had an argument, holding a black plastic bag.
The woman, who is also a street vendor, approached her and allegedly threw a yellow-coloured liquid in her face causing her face and eyes to burn. She was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital.
The suspect was arrested for throwing a Noxious Substance with Intent to do Grievous Bodily Harm.
Enquiries are continuing.
