No one saw 3-year-old Allon Ramdial fall into the water, but his mother Cristianna Ramdial, 19, said Allon was was known to frequent the jetty over a part of river.
Ramdial lived in a one room at the Ortoire Fishing Port Facility in Ortoire Village with her son.
She told police when she awoke around 6.30 a.m. on Friday she realised her son was missing.
A report was made to the Mayaro Police and a team of officers responded and conducted a search, who searched the coast line and the Ortoire River.
The child was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and blue long pants.
Meanwhile at 3.01pm. The Hunters Rescute and Search Team were still on the field looking for the toddler.
