Herbert Volney laid to rest on Saturday, surrounded by loved ones and colleagues

Former Judge and former Justice Minister, Herbert Volney’s funeral service saw the likes of many within the law fraternity and those within the political arena.

Volney’s service was kept at Belgrove’s Funeral Home in Tacarigua on Saturday December 10th.

Herbert Volney attendees at the service were Her Excellency President Paula-Mae Weekes, former President and High Court judge Anthony Carmona, Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, Independent Senator Sophia Chote, President of the Law Association, Sophia Chose, former government minister Carlos John, former Works and Transport Minister and FIFA Vice-President Jack Warner.

Retired Appeal Court Judge Justice Stanley John disclosed that Volney left instructions with his wife, Tricia, that when he passed, who he would want to present at his funeral.

Meanwhile Parliament made a touching tribute to their former colleague on Friday December 9th.

Meanwhile the evening of his passing the United National Congress issued a media release sending condolences to Volney’s family –
