An alleged car thief was shot and wounded, while another managed to escape, during a high-speed police chase and shootout on Sunday.
The incident took place near Low Cost Supermarket in Cunupia.
The suspect who sustained gunshot injuries was taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility for medical treatment.
A manhunt is underway for the other suspect.
