Government Gives Clarity On Offer Of Temporary Accommodation For Children Affected By Hurricane Beryl

Government’s offer of temporary accommodation for children from Grenada and St Vincent and the Grenadines affected by Hurricane Beryl depends on the agreement of their relatives in Trinidad and Tobago to accommodate them.

It was revealed there are no special policies regarding the offer but the Ministry of National Security has been advised to accommodate these requests when they are made known.

This is clarified by Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, on Wednesday in the parliament.

On Tuesday Dr Rowley revealed an offer school-age children from the devastated zones with family in Trinidad and Tobago will be allowed into the country, and they can stay for the during of the July-August vacation with the consent of their relatives.
