Murder in Blanchisseusse – Fire officer killed

A man was gunned down in Blanchisseusse on Friday night.

Reports are that the incident took place at O’Connor Street just before 7pm.

The victim has been identified as 38-year-old Kerron Joseph, a fire officer attached to the San Juan Fire Station.

A resident told police that sometime around 6:30pm he was at home when he heard several explosions.
He reportedly looked through a window and observed two assailants fleeing the scene.

He made checks and observed Joseph with gunshot wounds.

Crime scene investigators visited the scene and found 34 spent 9 mm shells.

Investigations are underway.
