Sustained measures including foot and mobile patrols by various police units and the targeting of criminal gangs are being done following the March 2024 murders of five individuals at Harpe Place in East Port of Spain.
Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds, said he is aware and has seen some aspects of the work done in the area and is impressed and is satisfied especially amid the ever changing nature of crime.
Speaking during the question and answer period in the Senate on Tuesday, Minister Hinds cited the importance of such efforts.
