Cabinet Cannot Intervene In OSHA Investigation Into Paria Tragedy, Says Prime Minister

Cabinet has not made any request as to when the investigation launched by the Occupational Safety and Health Agency into the accident which led to the deaths of four divers at Paria Fuel Trading Company on February 25th will be completed.

Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, made this position known to the House of Representatives on Wednesday.

Dr Rowley was at the time answering a question coming from Member of Parliament for Couva South, Rudy Indarsingh, on the subject.

Dr Rowley said cabinet cannot at this time make any intervention concerning this development until OSHA completes its work.
