54 Traffic Tickets Issued By Municipal Police Within Four Hours.

Officers of the Northern and Southern Divisions of the Trinidad and Tobago Municipal Police Service issued 54 traffic tickets for various traffic related violations, during several road traffic exercises conducted on Tuesday.

The exercises were conducted between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm.

Among the violations were:

  • Exceeding the Specified Speed Limit
  • Breach of Traffic Signs
  • Parking On a Public Stand Appointed for A Taxi
  • Driving While Holding or Using a Handheld Mobile Device

The exercises were conducted in the Port of Spain, Arima, San Fernando, Point Fortin and Penal/Debe districts.

They were spearheaded by Supt. Charles and W/Supt. Prieto, supervised by Insp. Hinkson, Sgt. Henderson, Sgt. Joseph, Sgt. Collinwood and PC Harripersad and included officers attached to the TTMPS Motorcycle Unit, and the POS and Arima Street Patrol Units and the Southern Division.
