Update: Arima gas station goes Unipet

Unipet has acquired a gas station previously operated under the NP brand. This will bring to 25 the number of stations operated under the Unipet brand in the country.

The fuel station is owned by the Chattergoon family for 45 years under the NP banner has now switched to Unipet.
The station started in 1951 under the Texaco brand, switched to NP in 1972.

Businessman Reval Chattergoon said the decision to switch to Unipet is after years of neglect by NP. He said this negotiation and transaction was completed months before the announcement by Finance Minister Colm Imbert in the recently presented National budget.

The station located along Broadway in Arima is set to be formally opened on Saturday morning in Arima.

The station is currently NP owned but there is reportedly Unipet signage already placed in the gas station.
