UK Home Office Says Unaccompanied Ukrainian Child Refugees Will Be Granted Visas

The UK Home Office says some unaccompanied child refugees from Ukraine will be given visas.

The BBC reports more than 82,000 Ukrainians have arrived in the United Kingdom, after fleeing the Russian invasion.

European countries allow Ukrainian refugees in for up to three years without a visa.

As of June 21st, the Home Office said 135,900 Ukrainian visas have been issued, from 161,500 applications.

On June 9th , the government said 9,900 Ukrainian children have been placed in English schools.
