Two shot in East Trinidad, one in critical condition

Two shootings occurred in East Trinidad on Wednesday.

In the first incident, 47-year-old Carlyle Jobe was at his Arima home when he got into an altercation with a relative at his Sunset Drive home early in the day. The relative got a firearm and shot Jobe in the face. He was rushed to the Arima Health District where he was treated for injuries under his left eye where the bullet struck him. He is warded in a stable condition.

In the second incident, Colin Bachan was shot three times in the chest while walking along Spring Extension, Five Rivers, Arouca around 10:30p.m. Bachan was rushed to the Hospital and treated for his injuries. Unlike Jobe, Bachan is in a critical condition. No motive has yet been given for his shooting.

Police are investigating both incidents.
