Two Alabama teens killed in a car crash after leaving their school prom

Two Alabama teens leaving their high school prom were killed after the Tesla car they were driving crashed into a semi-truck.

The incident occurred about 1:50 a.m. and involved a 2022 Tesla and a semi-truck at Skyland Boulevard East and Interstate 20/59, police said.

Police said, the Tesla was pinned underneath the truck’s trailer and the vehicle’s four occupants were trapped.

The driver, a 17-year-old female from Tuscaloosa, and the front-seat passenger, an 18-year-old male from Uniontown, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Two other teens were injured in the wreck.
