TTASA granted exemption to hold sport racing at Wallerfield

The Trinidad and Tobago Automobile Sport Association (TTASA) has been given an exemption to host motorsport events at the Frankie Boodram Wallerfield International Raceway.

The Association said that they sent a request for the exemption to the District Medical Officer, via the Tunapuna/Piarco Regional Corporation, and the Ministry of Sport.

“We thank them for understanding the nature of motorsport, being a non-contact sport.”

The Association said a subsequent announcement will be made in the coming days outlining the event dates.

They added that there are still being prepared while working together with affiliate clubs.

They said all events will be executed with all current Covid-19 ordinances adhered to, which include limited team members and no spectator crowds for events.
