Communication Workers Union head Clyde Elder has claimed that TSTT bosses will not stop until they have retrenched all employees.
He made the comment after reports emerged that the company delivered letters of potential retrenchment to employees via email late on Friday night.
Approximately 500 employees are set to be affected.
Mr Elder confirmed to News Power Now that the affected employees are all non-unionized.
He described the company’s actions as demonic as employees were informed of the development via email on Friday night, the weekend of Mother’s day.
Mr Elder claimed that he believed the bosses at TSTT will stop at nothing to send home employees.
He suggested that it is not a question of “if” but rather “when” all staff will be retrenched.
The CWU leader accused TSTT of taking advantage of non-unionized employees.
