Energy Minister Stuart Young says Trinidad and Tobago stands ready to ramp up production of gas to meet the world’s shortfall from Russia.
Speaking on CNN on Tuesday, Minister Young was asked by host of Quest means Business Richard Quest how the world can wean itself off Russian oil and gas.
Mr Young said he expects this country’s output to return to pre-pandemic level by next year and plays its own role in meeting the shortfall from Russia.
He said that T&T has been a significant oil and gas producer and is ready to assist in a crisis.
