TSTT Makes 118 Million Dollars Profit Before Tax

The Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago has made a profit before tax of 118 million dollars in one year.

TSTT was engaged in a restructuring exercise.

The action was taken to address the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the evolving nature of the telecommunications industry.

This move resulted in the utility saving 400 million dollars.

Some of the company’s workers received a VSEP package.

Minister of Public Utilities, Marvin  Gonzales, in the parliament on Wednesday during the Budget Debate  commended TSTT for being able to accomplish such an achievement.

It was also revealed the board of TSTT has decided to pay its management and workers a bonus of 6 million dollars which will be shared equitable before the end of this year.
