Trinibagoian talent continues to make its mark in all facets worldwide. Just on the heels of Trinidad and Tobago’s Top Model, Naomi Chin Wing copping an international campaign with luxury fashion brand Roberto Cavalli, Danielle Austin has now championed the digital runway of luxury fashion brand, Prada Fall/Winter 21 Women’s Collection.
In early February, Danielle Austin, from the community of Penal, was flown out to Milan Italy, after her modeling agency 28 Models Trinbago landed Danielle with a worldwide exclusive contract to walk the runway for the prominent brand, Prada.
In an interview with Mr. Showin Bishop, the Managing Director of 28 Models Trinbago, Mr. Bishop stated “I feel great about this, this is what I am trying to do to help models get the exposure that they need. This is only the start of what I plan to do for Trinidad and Tobago. I am super excited and proud of Danielle for this accomplishment, I cannot wait for the other big things that’s in the pipeline.”
Danielle who is still accommodating the magnitude of the opportunity said, “I feel totally happy that I can represent my country on an international stage. I am still pinching myself as it all feels like a dream, my hope is to continue to do my best and show models in Trinidad and Tobago that anything is possible once you keep working hard.”
Both Naomi and Danielle are represented by modeling agency 28 Models Trinbago.
The debut was premiered live 2pm Milan Time (please view the video below):
Prada is one of the most iconic brands in fashion history. The designers behind the brand have continually striven to be innovative while maintaining their classically refined style. The House of Prada is a 108-year-old Italian luxury fashion house that was founded in 1913 by Mario Prada. It specializes in ready-to-wear, leather handbags, travel accessories, shoes, perfumes and other accessories.
The collection by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons is inspired by the idea of change and transformation, opening possibilities. A fusion between disparate themes and intents mirrors the nature of humanity: a belief in the fact that men and women each hold the masculine and feminine within themselves. This collection explores the space that exists between conventional polar opposites – the point between simplicity and complexity, elegance and practicality, limitation and release, transmuted.
After the digital presentation of the #PradaFW21 Womenswear Collection, #Prada present Prada Intersections, a conversation with co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, involving Academy Award® nominated filmmaker as well as a director, writer and producer Lee Daniels, electronic musician and DJ @RichieHawtin aka Plastikman, fashion designer Marc Jacobs, architect and writer Rem Koolhaas and actress and artist Hunter Schafer, moderated by Derek Blasberg, Head of Fashion & Beauty, YouTube, to discuss the collection from a multidisciplinary perspective, reflecting the brand’s DNA, as well as today’s challenges in fashion and creativity.
