An exciting 2 wicket win for Trinbago Knight Riders in their latest match against Defending Champions Jamaica Tallawahs in the Caribbean Premier T20 League at Kensington Oval, Barbados today.
Defending 142 runs, the victory was set up by spinner Waqar Salamkheil captured two wickets for 21 runs from 4 overs, Andre Russell 3 for 34 from 4 overs and Sunil Narine 2 for 26, to restrict Jamaica Tallawahs for 140 for 7 from 20 overs.
The result was the third straight wins for TKR.
Tallawahs captain, Brandon King, lead the way with 36 runs while Chris Green made 32 runs.
Earlier , Kelvin Pitman on debut for Tallawahs had three wickets for 27 runs from 4 overs and Mohammed Amir 3 for 20 from 4 overs to help restrict TKR for 142 for 8 from their allotted 20 overs today.
TKR Captain, Keiron Pollard, top scored with 33 runs while opener Mark Deyal and Lorcan Tucker contributed 30 runs.
On Tuesday the tournament shifts to Trinidad with TKR taking on second placed Guyana Amazon Warriors at 7pm at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain.WO
