Three persons arrested during Operation Strike Back in Arima

Three persons were arrested, during an Operation Strike Back exercise in the Northern Division on Saturday 1st May, 2021.

The exercise was conducted by officers of the Northern Division Task Force Area East with the assistance of the Road Policing Task Force and the K-9 Unit.

During the exercise searches were conducted in La Retreat Extension Arima, and three persons were arrested.

A 35- year old woman for possession of 28 grammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, a 37- year- old man for possession of 190 grammes of marijuana and a 45-year-old man of Linda Street Cleaver Road, Arima for driving whilst being disqualified and driving without a certificate of insurance.

As the exercise continued, two persons were issued E-tickets a driver and a passenger for failure to wear seat belts.

In addition forty-five field interview reports were conducted.
Investigations are continuing.
