The American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago is engaging the private sector to create more risk-resilient enterprises to assist businesses resist, cope and recover quickly during times of sudden shocks, emergencies and disasters.
This is being done through the Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilience Societies initiative.
The 3-day workshop started on February 16th continued today and will end on February 23rd.
Melissa Pierre senior Trade and Policy Specialist, AMCHAM T&T, Melissa Pierre, in a NEWS POWER NOW interview spoke on the significance of this workshop bearing in mind the effects of COVID-19.
The AMCHAM T&T official also explained the role the American Chamber will play in making the venture a success.
