Fifty teachers from Toco Secondary School, Siparia Boys’ RC Primary, Macaulay Government Primary and Carenage Government Primary School were awarded certificates on the completion of training in online teaching methods provided by Education Solution Specialists Limited.
The Ministry of Education says it’s a venture facilitated through collaboration between the provider, Unicomer Trinidad Limited and the Machel Montano Foundation for Greatness.
The ceremony took place Thursday at the Ministry of Education’s Head Office, St Vincent Street, Port of Spain.
Education Minister, Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, spoke of the benefits of this training to teachers.
Minister Gadsby Dolly also focused on what factors contribute to a successful school.
Managing Director-Education Solution Specialists Limited, Brendon Butts, said the aim was to make on-line learning more engaging for the students.
Managing Director of Unicomer Limited, Clive Fletcher, gave some insight into the areas covered by the teachers in their training.
Machel Montano of Machel Montano Foundation For Greatness, noted the importance of having a strong support system to ensure success.
