Six additional persons have tested positive for COVID-19

The Ministry of Health says there are thirty-nine persons in hospital with COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.

In its latest clinical update the Ministry says the number of deaths from the virus stands at one hundred and thirty-four.

The Ministry says there have been six new reported cases in the past forty-eight hours.

Of the six new positive COVID-19 cases, one is recently repatriated person.

At present there are two hundred and fifty-three persons in home self-isolation with the virus.

Four hundred and seven patients are at state quarantine facilities with the virus.

At step down facilities there are six patients.

Total active positive cases of the virus stands at three hundred and four.

Total recovered patients from the virus stands at seven thousand, and fifty-eight.

Meanwhile, the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development in the Tobago House of Assembly says one person has been discharged, reducing the total number of active COVID-19 cases in Tobago to five.
