The Intensive Care Unit at both the Parallel Health Care System and the traditional system are under strain.
This is further compounded by the fact that admissions are showing no signs of slowing down.
This is according to Minister of Health Terrence Deyalsingh who made the comment at the Ministry of Health’s Covid Media Update on Monday.
He informed the population that if this continue on its current trend the health care system could be compromised for the Christmas season.
He noted that there are 106 Intensive Care Unit Level Beds across the Parallel Health Care system and the Accident and Emergency Departments combined.
