Twenty-two additional COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded in Trinidad and Tobago.
The persons were 10 elderly males, five elderly females, four middle-aged males and three middle-aged females. This brings fatalities confirmed on both islands to 2,429.
According to the Ministry, 15 of the victims had multiple comorbidities including diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, lung disease, obesity and a history of strokes. Two had diabetes only, while five individuals had no known comorbidities.
At both public and private facilities, 473,172 people have been tested for the contagion.
