The Greater San Fernando Area Chamber Of Commerce claims it is aware shipping costs have been reduced but this is not being passed on consumers.
It’s a point highlighted during an interview President of the Greater San Fernando Area Chamber Of Commerce, Kiran Singh, with News Power Now on Thursday.
Mr Singh said shipping costs have returned to levels before the Covid-19 pandemic took place but this reduction is not being seen via reduced cost of goods.
The business official suggested consideration be given to extending the 8am to 4pm timeline being used to clear containers especially going into the busy Christmas period.
