The Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and Urban Development says road stabilisation work is scheduled to
commence along the Windward Main Road, Goodwood, in the vicinity of lower ‘Shangie Hill’ on Monday 21st August, 2023.
This has become necessary to rehabilitate a failed portion of the roadway.
The scope of works includes the construction of a gabion basket retaining wall sized 12 meters long by 4 meters high. Work is anticipated to last three weeks, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Resultantly, the flow of traffic is likely to be interrupted; the roadway will be reduced to single lane traffic.
Motorist and pedestrians are therefore advised to exercise caution when approaching this area.
