One man is dead following an incident in Malick on Tuesday evening.
The victim has been identified as Tyreese “Rino” Griffith, 24, of Upper Sixth Avenue, Malick, Barataria.
Police say around 9.15 pm on Tuesday – Griffith and two others were standing on the road near Fifth Street when gunmen shot at them.
The three men were taken to hospital where Griffith succumbed to his injuries around 9.30 pm.
A 39-year-old and 30-year-old, both of Malick, Barataria, who were also injured in the incident, were treated and warded in stable condition.
Police arrested two people in connection with the shooting.
