Princes Town MP: Judith Jones Report Recommendations Should Be Urgently Implemented

Recommendations put forward by the Justice Judith Jones Reports on Children should be urgently implemented.

The appeal comes from Member of Parliament for Princes Town, Barry Padarath.

MP Padarath was at the time piloting the private motion: protect and support our nation’s children in the House of Representatives on Friday afternoon.

MP Padarath elaborated on several proposals which have been put forward relating to the matters such as the setting up of a Children’s Ombudsman, Children’s Registry and License regime for Children’s Homes.

MP Padarath also commented on the importance of due diligence in hiring care takers and specialised staffing for persons who would eventually be employed at institutions which care for children.
