Presbyterian Board congratulates Naps Combined and Guiaco Primary on their Panorama wins

The Moderator Rt. Reverend Joy Abdul-Mohan, the officers of Synod, the Presbyterian Boards of Education (Primary and Secondary) and the members of the PCTT have congratulated the NAPS Combined (Naparima College and Naparima Girls’ High School) as well as the Guaico Presbyterian Primary School, for winning the Secondary School and Primary School categories, respectively, of the Junior Panorama Finals 2023!

In a release, Abdul-Mohan revealed that Presbyterians were elated when Guaico Presbyterian Primary School copped first place in the 2023 National Junior (Primary) Panorama Finals. This achievement completes a hat trick of victories with wins in 2019, 2020 and now 2023.

Also, the combined players of Naparima College and Naparima Girls’ High School placed first in the (Secondary) Panorama Finals. This follows on from their win in 2019.

Abdul-Mohan said just last Friday “One of our members Mrs. Christine Kangaloo-Garcia was elected as the President-Elect of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Indeed, our Church is thankful that our members and institutions continue to make formidable contributions to our nation.
It is quite an honour, as these developments emphasise how entrenched the ethos of Presbyterianism has become (after our Church just celebrated its 155th anniversary), an integral part of the fabric of our nation.”

She sent congratulations to the principals, Mr. Roger Ali, Principal (Ag.) Naparima College, Mrs. Karen Bally, Principal (Ag.) Naparima Girls High School and Margaret Gopaul Mohammed Principal (Ag.) Guaico Presbyterian Primary School, staff, parents, supporters and most of all, the students, for their hard work and dedication.

Abdul-Mohan said added their long hours of practice have truly paid off. “It was a show stopping performance and is proof that our national instrument the steel pan is in good hands as our children continue to excel.”
