Around 4:00 o’clock this morning, police shot and killed Devon Lewis at his Orange Field Road, Mungal Trace home in Carapichaima,
Reports indicate that Lewis shot at the police officers as they approached his home. They then returned gunfire in defence, hitting him several times. Lewis died on the scene.
Officers recovered a Glock pistol at the scene. They said Lewis was known to them as a firearm offender.
Investigations are continuing.
