PM tells public to be “patient”; says “actions being take to right the ship”

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has assured that “action is being taken to right the ship,” when asked at an event yesterday about the investigations at the Strategic Services Agency, (SSA).

He also asked the public to be “patient”.

Speaking to media following the sod-turning ceremony for the Citrus Close Housing Development on the Eastern Main Road in Laventille yesterday, the Prime Minister called for composure as the investigation unfolded, “All I ask for is a little patience as the investigations proceed and the requisite actions are taken.”

On March 2, the Office of the Prime Minister announced that “the National Security Council has recommended to the Cabinet that the head of the SSA be replaced immediately and that new leadership and management be installed with despatch.”

The Prime Minister assured, “Action is being taken to right the ship.”

However, some startling claims have been made by Pastor Ian Brown about his role as a spy at the SSA and other allegations.

Brown was called a “prophetic adviser” to Major Best and was also made an SRP.
