The Prime Minister has defended his government’s crime-fighting initiatives while bashing the Opposition for not supporting the government’s proposed measures.
Speaking at a PNM public meeting in Chaguanas on Tuesday night, Dr Rowley also revealed that the Government has spent $80 million to install 2,500 CCTV cameras across the country to give the T&T Police Service an extra boost in its fight against the criminal element.
He added that the Government intends to install even more CCTV systems with another 2,500 cameras planned for installation in the coming months.
