Chief Medical Officer, Dr Roshan Parasram, today revealed that this country has recorded an additional Covid19 related death, bringing the total to 90.
Making his update announcement at the Prime Minister’s press conference, Dr Parasram said that as of 2pm Saturday, an additional 22 people had tested positive for the virus over the last 24 hours, with 1,726 active cases at present.
Overall positive cases stand at 5,043, and 3,221 patients have recovered.
He said 118 patients were warded at hospital, 38 were at step-down facilities, 100 patients in quarantined facilities and 1,570 patients in home isolation.
