Officers of the Central Division are searching for the suspect who firebombed a policeman’s vehicle in the Couva area on Sunday.
Reports are that around 4am Sunday, the officer was at home at Emerald Gardens when a loud explosion was heard.
Upon investigation, the officer saw his Hyundai Elantra on fire and immediately notified fire services and the police.
CCTV footage has been obtained by the police, and on it, a suspect is seen running away from the scene.
The man is believed to have received burns during the incident and checks have been made at hospitals and other medical facilities.
